Corporate farms are often much worse than private farms. Small family farms typically take great pride in their livestock although there are always exceptions.

my small rural city has an ordinance against roosters. Chickens fine. A ban on roosters? I'm all for it. Not everybody in even a small rural city wants to be woken up by roosters at the crack of dawn.
