Sounds like they just laid a giant garden hose on the ocean floor, filled with millions of gallons of oil. Christ, you'd think they would have taken excessive measures so this type of thing could be prevented.

Why on earth would pipelines be placed to be exposed to possible snagging by ship's anchors? Asinine.

The pipelines have been there for 50 years and have been marked on maps. If the lazy inept Port of LA wasn’t so backed up and pushing an “asinine” number of ships into ocean, this would never have been a problem
