I moved from SE Louisiana and hurricanes were part of the reason. I feel for my family back there.

My sister lived in Port Sulphur years ago, in the early 60s. Pre-Katrina, I drove down there and couldn’t believe all the beautiful orange and satsuma groves. I know that they must be gone now.

I worked in the oilfield and went through Port Sulphur innumerable times. I enjoyed the drive back through after the job a lot more than going to Venice to go offshore.

I don’t understand why The Federal Government keeps wasting money rebuilding these communities every few years. Move them away from beaches and flood zones. Leave The Beaches for the benefit of everyone not just a few.
