Primetta Giacopini lived a life of adventure: She fell in love with a World War II fighter pilot, escaped Italy during the war, built a life for herself in Connecticut. Then this month, at age 105, her life ended the way it began: in a pandemic.http://apne.ws/Hy919NL

The U.S. death toll from the Spanish flu pandemic was eclipsed this month by the number of Americans killed by the coronavirus. At a time when the world had one-quarter of the population it does now, the flu pandemic killed 50 million people globally. http://apne.ws/F9i6Juz

The woman was 105 years old, what does she mean by "quite a bit longer"?
-
My Mom is 92 & walks several miles a day, can use a computer & texts me when she needs something We keep her away from everyone but careful family members She keeps herself busy with gardening, sewing, crocheting, painting & reading No one think she is over 70

Quite a bit longer? Like what, a week or two?

I mean some old people really are still very functional. My grandma died from falling but she was up and down the steps still schooling her kids. It’s one of those things where you just know some people have the longevity. My gma could’ve easily tackled another decade.
