We had some weapons missing at JBLM, hundreds, so RFID is a great idea, but RFID only works at close range with a reader, they don't "transmit" message. I can see taking inventory daily, then running through barracks checking, but out in the field, no.

RFID tags don't transmit and the read distance is only a couple feet max. Come on

@marcwrogers and@KristinPaget were able to read passive RFID tags from 210 feet away with off the shelf equipment without violating FCC rules.
