Also…many Americans are advised to get the booster. Why you feel the need to report this in this “gotcha” way isn’t helpful or even “in essence” honest.

This is a perfect example of how DC media are so broken. This isn't a "stinging rebuke" to Biden. It was a medical decision, not a political one--and for now, boosters for 65+ (which is a lot of the population) & health workers etc, based on scientific data. Do better, AP.

Gee the Biden FDA says that there isn't enough data yet to recommend boosters for anyone under 65 years of age. To me that sounds reasonable. But to the media this is a "rebuke" of Biden. Biden said he'd follow the science and he is doing so.

Also, this includes people with underlying issues- under 65, which does include a whole lot of people! (Me!)

Not much has changed. Many people who wanted a 3rd shot have already received theirs. They didn’t wait for authorization.

A yearly COVID booster shot sounds more logical. Most people get a yearly Flu booster shot which the top docs are recommending. The symptoms of cold, flu, and COVID-19 overlap. Flu and cold season are approaching, get vaccinated. Wearing a mask should prevent all three.
