Well the gov't is OWNED by big corporations: big oil, big pharma, big ag, big tech. THEY ARE LITERALLY AFRAID to regulate ANY of them.

This is what happens when Lobbyists have more access to our reps than we do. They bribe them with obscene amounts of campaign $ to legislate in favor of the corps they represent. There was a time when (even GOP) reps would meet with their constituents who needed his/her help.

I think it's pretty standard, at this point, to recognize and acknowledge that 'big brother' is listening. I can mention something in passing just in proximity to my phone, not using it, and I will see ads for it in my social media feeds.
