The leader of the Canadian province of Alberta is apologizing for his handling of the pandemic and now says he’s now reluctantly introducing a vaccine passport and imposing a mandatory work from home order two months after lifting nearly all restrictions.http://apne.ws/9neM6hr

        That wasn't an apology.

We’d be far better off if more leaders admitted they were wrong when they clearly were really, really, excruciatingly wrong.

Does it really count as an apology if he walks it back a few minutes later?

I mean, his "apology" is basically saying "I sorry that you think I'm responsible for the consequences of MY poor leadership decisions" Non-Albertans are sincerely impressed, "Wow! You guys are so lucky to have a leader who's honest and owns up to his mistakes!" Gross.

He walked back the apology and his vaccine passport is less than it seems. He also lied when he said Alberta has lowest rate of death. In fact it is the 4th highest rate of death in the 13 provinces and territories. https://www.canada.ca/en/public-health/services/diseases/2019-novel-coronavirus-infection.html#a1 …
