Before anyone asks, this costs the US taxpayer $0. It’s entirely privately funded. In fact, NASA is making money from this for the use of their launch facilities And unlike Bezos or Branson flights which were suborbital and zero-g for seconds, this will orbit for 3 days.

My problem with these things isn't that it costs the taxpayers money, it's that there's a class of people that can afford to go to space for fun while people on the ground are starving and struggling to pay rent.

Is ground control controlling the spacecraft? Or are one of the people on board piloting it?

The Dragon is autonomous, so it is driving itself.
