The Ogallala aquifer has been disappearing for a very long time and it appears no one has ever cared to remedy it.

its to hard, costs to much and will piss too many people off to do anything. Three things most politicians avoid.

I was wondering when we'd hear about the Ogallala aquifer. See Cadillac Desert.https://www.amazon.com/Cadillac-Desert-American-Disappearing-Revised/dp/0140178244/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=cadillac+desert&qid=1631223572&sr=8-1 …

Farming isn’t the problem. Denver and the Dallas metroplex are using the water. We need water to grow food for this nation. People need to stop living in desert cities and bitching about water
-
Hi Doug. Farming *is* part of the problem, center pivot irrigation has no place in western Kansas or eastern Colorado to irrigate subsidized row-crop corn for export to China. Denver gets its water from Rocky Mountain watersheds not the Ogallala.

A global pandemic, a dust bowl, those who dont learn from history are doomed to repeat it.
