The Postal Service’s aging fleet of trucks is soldiering on as a contract for replacement vehicles is being delayed by a lawsuit. The fleet of vehicles delivered starting in 1987 catch fire at an alarming rate. They also lack adequate heating and cooling.http://apne.ws/i5aYWMZ

The heating is quite adequate in summer and cooling is wonderful in winter. Just like the postal service ordered.

US has a special postal service truck? A commercial van is not good enough?

Get a quote from UPS or FedEx asking how much it costs to send a birthday card to mom via commercial van.

My pops used to drive one of those, back in the 90s. He hated that thing. Rain or snow? They can't even manage hardly any snow, and then he'd have to wait to get pulled out with no heat. Gotta hit those quotas though. No wonder the phrase "going postal" exists.
