Belarusian sprinter Krystsina Tsimanouskaya left Tokyo en route to Europe after resisting an attempt by her Olympic team’s officials to send her home. She boarded a plane that left the gate for Vienna. It wasn't clear if that was her final destination.http://apne.ws/wSU23Wr

Well, good thing the pilot didn't divert it

Bribing the pilot to veer off course may have been the move if I was Belarus.

Glad she is safe, wonder if they risked flying over Russian airspace or not with her on board.

omg please stop phrasing the start like this. I had a heart attack as i feared the plane was force to land in belarus omg

That would only happen if the plane flew into Belarus airspace. Countries are very protective of their airspace and I'm sure most of Europe is on alert after what happened to that journalist.
