The head of the World Health Organization is calling for a moratorium on administering booster shots of COVID-19 vaccines as a way to help ensure that first doses are available in countries where fewer people have received shots.http://apne.ws/yUfQ7B4

This is good policy. We are more at risk long-term by global spread and mutations than slightly falling antibodies among #vaccinated. I more interested in development and testing of say a #lambda version which then could serve as an EUA booster for high vax rate populations.

I wonder if they can predict future spike protein mutations to offer a booster shot before the virus has an opportunity to advance. Those would honestly need to roll out now to get ahead of it.

I’m vaccinated but you do realize why black people are skeptical to take the vaccine right?

The US has a 50 million dose surplus... We should be utterly ashamed of this.

Wealthy nations that are generously sending vaccines to countries in need are simply not going to turn their backs on their own citizens if it's shown that the vaccine efficacy has been greatly reduced over time. There must be a realistic balance.

And what happens when half of the wealthiest country in the world won’t even get the shot? Better to stop mutations elsewhere, no?
