Horses that are well treated, which these ones would be, will actually do injury to themselves to avoid hurting a human. Japan should have known not to put a statue on the field where the horse would have to run so close to it.

At least Equestrian Sumo Wrestling hasn’t become an Olympic sport. Yet.

The problem is that horses big enough for Sumo wrestlers to ride don’t jump very well. Think Clydesdale.
