A Japanese composer working on the Tokyo Olympics opening ceremony resigns after coming under fire for bullying classmates, including those with disabilities, as a child. Keigo Oyamada talked about the abuse in magazine interviews he gave in the 1990s.http://apne.ws/xqhi2Wb

I dont give a damn what he did as a child, but it is irresponsible to hold the Olympics

Are we talking about like...he was 8 or 9? Or like he was 17? Kids can be mean, specially at an age where their frontal cortex is still just a premature sack of jelly. It's wrong, of course, but why would we hold someone accountable of things they did/said as children?

He "force[d] a mentally-disabled boy to eat his own feces and masturbate in front of other students." Those are the actions of a sociopath and not a person who should represent their country in any way.

I don't like bullying and don't care much for bullies themselves, as I was bullied in school, myself. Not that I was entirely innocent. But he was a child and didn't know better. There should be statute of limitations, even for cancel culture.

It was during their childhood... was a kid or teen, they brought that part of the past up now? ffs... Clearly people don't change after 10+ years or more 😐 Besides, they were that, a KID or TEEN.
