I wouldn't classify that film as a documentary.

Brings into question whether this can be considered a documentary or whether it’s just a movie.

Creepy. Will we rapidly reach a technology point (if not there already) when it will be impossible to detect the difference between a manufactured voice and a real one? The myriad implications are staggering. And none of them good.

Wow at the rollercoaster here. It seems not unreasonable if it's just sentences he wrote but wasn't recorded saying aloud. Also his widow approved it! Oh wait, no, she says she didn't approve it. Did he actually write the words?pic.twitter.com/c3U16THlCQ

“Widow” is debatable. Divorce was never finalized but they separated before his death. He was dating Asia Argento and sadly was a footnote in her underage grooming scandal of that young teen.

How is it a documentary if you have to make up words someone never said?

Thats fan-fiction. -
Addendum: Theyre supposedly Bourdains written words he just never spoke them...but still presents an ethical issue.
