I wouldn't call it a holy site. I'm sure the city of Miami Beach (Surfside) will get offers to build a new condo bcuz property is highly valued over there. Officials should do the right thing and make it a memorial site for the lives lost in this tragedy.

Yes, cemeteries are for the dead. The rest is for the living. Many people still alive owned their condos that had to be demolished, the deceased owned the accidentally destroyed ones. The living and families still have a stake on the site, in addition to what insurances pay.
