I seriously don't understand why these articles present residents views as though they matter. Unless you know anything about engineering or construction, their knowledge is literally non existent. It seems irresponsible to me.

To be fair, most of those residents don’t really have another option. It’s not like they could sell their units right now at anywhere near what they could for an identical unit in a non-Champlain building.

And where would they go? At whose expense? This is their home and few people have resources to find other arrangements.
