make sure those doors and windows are closed and locked though, cops have, can, and will use open windows or doors as an excuse to enter a dwelling claiming they were making wellness checks on the occupants, and get away with it 9.9 out of 10 times

As we all know this just means that the cops will change what they're saying they're pursuing the suspect for once they need to. There is no trust between us and the police. They have destroyed it.

Until police departments introduce policy reforms bad cop will still get away with entering a suspects home with out a warrant because they’ll receive zero consequences for their actions.
