Easy to solve the problem. Register all guns and require each base to track all guns every 4 months. If 1 is missing it comes out of that soldiers pay and he is not allow to have a gun for 30 days. Hard to believe not responsibility for our military.

This is difficult to understand how an M9 from Bragg ended up in NYC? Sensitive item inspection are required for every Arms room in the Army. As a former Unit Armor I can tell you a missing weapon ends a lot of careers.

I was a former unit armor as well. Once a month a sensitive item inspection was done by serial number performed by senior NCOs who didn’t have a vested interest in it. One month, the inspection turn up a 9 mm having a serial number not belonging to us. 1/
