Of course it was bipartisan. The only thing both parties hate more than each other is other countries. I don't think enough Americans realise just how isolationist the country really is.

It's more that the American government is more isolationist than the majority of the country, xenophobia and white nationalism are the cornerstones of the Republican Party that best represents their constituents, conservative learning Democrats want closed borders.
