It's about fucking time. The military is the one place where you can make sweeping changes and enforce them without some of the protections most civilians get. If it can be solved anywhere it can be solved there.

As a former Army SARC, I always believed that crimes should’ve been handle by an outside agency.. Commanders aren’t educated/trained to do what law enforcement (Detectives) do.

Quite frankly neither are the police. Millions of rape kits go untested and uninvestigated. I didn’t join any branch for fear of rape and the rape record of the military. I didn’t want to sign up for contractual rapes.
