“We’ve been at it for years and we haven’t effectively moved the needle." The top U.S. general says he's open to a plan to take decisions on prosecutions out of the hands of commanders because other efforts to stop sex assaults in the military have failed.http://apne.ws/sTbYV0q

I hope he understands the civilian world does not have this any better figured out.

It's about fucking time. The military is the one place where you can make sweeping changes and enforce them without some of the protections most civilians get. If it can be solved anywhere it can be solved there.

Wow! Wonder who came up with that brilliant idea of the fox watching over a hen house and such?

As a former Army SARC, I always believed that crimes should’ve been handle by an outside agency.. Commanders aren’t educated/trained to do what law enforcement (Detectives) do.

I agree! This should get a case moving faster in getting the abuser behind bars sooner. America is no place for abusers of any kind!

Quite frankly neither are the police. Millions of rape kits go untested and uninvestigated. I didn’t join any branch for fear of rape and the rape record of the military. I didn’t want to sign up for contractual rapes.
