I think having them be cleaned and reused is still a good idea even if every patient is to be met with a healthcare professional with an unused N95 mask. Excess waste should still be prevented as applicable

I agree with not reusing disposables after doffing, but should point out that extended wear is safer during outbreaks, particularly if the outbreak is large enough to assume your colleagues may have it, and patients are still in rooms without negative pressure.
