I'm not necessarily convinced that it's "employers are still cutting jobs", as it is that many people collecting unemployment make more money by claiming unemployment than actually working for $13/hour.

We need to come to the realization that the service industry will never be the same. There will not the the same number of restaurants, bars hotels etc... these people need to be retrained for other jobs.

all three of my restaurants need help in every aspect of each store. i cannot get anyone to walk in and apply. hourly rates are being offered $14-$19.50 depending on for specialty experience. so many restaurants and friends/owners are also looking for help...
