What we saw was a lynching. The defense attorney's have to do their job. But at the end of the day, after all technicalities, George Floyd died of asphyxiation, and Derek Chauvin murdered him. These are the facts of the case, and there is no dispute.

The reason this is so obviously a violation and a crime is because he went WELL beyond the safety limits of the authorised force. Not only that, but he didn't take any care when Floyd said he couldn't breathe. Which means he was aware of GF's situation, but chose not to act...(1)

(2)...I'm not american so I don't know what you crimes are called over here, but at BEST it's manslaughter. He didn't mean to kill him, but he didn't take the care necessary to prevent his death. Add his additional training and responsibilities and it makes it worse.
