It already does. Every firing pin already makes a forensically unique mark on the casing. Micro stamping is unreliable because the mark will be inconsistent and wear out quickly and can be filled off too easily.

No it wouldn’t, has nothing to do with bullets. Just the firing pin that strikes the primer cap on the shell casing and is unnecessary as each firing pin already makes a forensically unique mark on the cap.
