A new AP-NORC poll finds parents across the U.S. are conflicted about reopening schools: Most are at least somewhat worried that their child will fall behind academically and that in-person instruction will lead to more COVID-19 cases.http://apne.ws/jodJRua

Still, after a year of disrupted learning in many U.S. schools, the poll finds parents are more deeply concerned about academic setbacks: 69% are at least somewhat concerned, including 42% who are very or extremely concerned. http://apne.ws/0FWcxV7 pic.twitter.com/JNA17N8MKs

Oh no, kids will fall behind the top rated education system in the world. 🤦‍♂️ Any parent not ~forcing their kids to take free/cheap on-line courses ... is bad.

Hasn't the last year shown that childcare, social conditioning, and worker preparation, is the primary benefit of all primary schooling

Not only academic setback but health concerns too from all this screen time. Doctors tell you to limit screen time but now it’s double triple the amount and it’s been a year of it.

Exactly. My kiddo was homeschooled for 6 years and decided to go back to public for highschool. First year, as a freshman, and she pulled high honor roll. People need to put the blame where the blame really is.

Academic setbacks? Maybe they could be parents and teach their kids themselves?

Reminder that this was not due to the germ, but due to the teachers unions and the corporate press. Thanks AP for your help setting back an entire generation of children with your support for lockdown voodoo.

Setting them back? Behind whom? Is the United States the only country that locked down?
