Same with my county. County employees are being asked to take a day to work at the site and they will be guaranteed a vaccination end of day. I see no problem with it.

Why would this raise any ethical questions? Do we not want the people giving out shots to themselves be protected? Why wouldn't you want to incentivize people to volunteer to do it so more people can be given the shot more quickly?

do we really need a medical ethicist to weigh in here? volunteers are putting themselves in harms' way to provide a much needed public service...the least we can do is give them a vaccine

Who is complaining? Should volunteers be walking around and handling people without protection? Surely, those at the forefront of the covid fight must be protected.

If you volunteer once or twice it can be an issue when the supply of vaccines are very limited. Many high risk individuals are yet to be vaccinated. Some that work as volunteers won’t be in direct contact with patients. Each state needs to figure out this. PE first though!
