Mr. Potato Head is no longer a mister. Hasbro, the company that makes the potato-shaped plastic toy, is giving the spud a gender neutral new name: Potato Head. The change will appear on boxes this year.http://apne.ws/ZsGuwK0

I mean, giving a plastic vegetable toy a human gender is made up, so removing the gender is, in fact, also made up.

Because it doesn't actually matter? Because its their product and they can do what they want? Because they want to be more inclusive?

I mean, it makes sense. Why does a potato need an assigned gender anyways?

Because it was a character created from imagination. Garfield the cat is male. Should we demand that gets changed? How about Barbie or GI Joe? What about Wonder Woman or Superman? Are we so threatened that we’re going to remove all identity from all objects so they are ambiguous?

Mark I’m surprised this isn’t happening. I live in Canada. But would move if States secede
