Suicides, overdoses, homicides, medical malpractice. All statistically higher and disproportionately affecting younger people, therefore bringing average life expectancy lower. It’s math. I’m surprised it’s only down by 12 months.

I’m surprised it’s only dropped by a year. Suicides, overdoses, and homicides are all statistically higher and disproportionately affecting younger people. Perhaps the average will continue to decline as the long term consequences have only just begun to reflected in the data.

So if average age of covid death is 80. And life expectancy is (was) also 80. Then mathematically something else must be bringing the average lower
.
Could it the increase in suicides, overdoses and murder rates due to lockdown measures?
