Catholic institutions received at least $3 billion in emergency small business aid -- roughly the same as the combined total of recipients from the next four top faiths. Church officials say they needed the money to keep people employed.http://apne.ws/hpUE1xo

Cool sounds like they need to pay taxes now.

There is so much wrong in this piece. I'll just take one example. The AP states that Boston's Catholic Schools Foundation, it says that it has "more than $33 million in cash and other funds that could be “used for general operations”". But the AP has misread the financials.

While the financials report that amount in unrestricted assets, that does not mean those funds are liquid or available to actually pay immediate general expenses. The financials say that their liquid assets for "general operating use" is less than 10% of what AP reports.

Churches should not receive aid. If so, then they need to be taxed.

Sounds like they owe some taxes if they’re not gonna abide by separation of church and state

So a religious organization, like 90,000 other organizations and businesses, took advantage of a government emergency assistance program that they were eligible for to save employees jobs. It earns them an attack by the MSM. Tell me again there is no war on religion by the MSM?
