General Motors says the vast majority of the vehicles it produces will run on electric power by 2035. The Detroit automaker also says it aims to make the entire company, including operations, carbon neutral five years after that.http://apne.ws/Ej6spqH

Extremely expensive and of exactly zero benefit to anyone.

I'll believe it when I see it, GM. You don't get an ounce of credit for promises, only for results.

Without high density residential charging infrastructure being built out now, this is ass backwards. High density living (LA and NY) is a huge problem to solve for renewable energy solutions. Who's going to tell a 25 story apartment/condo complex they need add charge stations?

Big Manufacturing's idea of "carbon neutral" is sure different than mine and, I'm pretty sure, the IRL planet's. I don't look at all that plastic and metal and see "carbon neutral" just because it's electric powered.
