We are the richest nation on the planet and yet we allow the identical conditions to happen here in the US. Infrastructure? Nope. Instability. Big time. Only when we care for the poorest and sickest among us can we be considered a civilized nation. We have a lot of work to do.

So I feel bad for people in those countries and all but two things: 1. "Wealthy" countries are the ones that spent vast amounts of money/resources on developing not just the vaccine, but the technology to make it possible. Why shouldn't they be the ones to get it first?

2. Tens of millions of people in wealthy countries won't be able to get the vaccine for months, even years. Its not like we're all vaccinated while we watch the rest of the world suffer and die...
