Spain saw the deaths of thousands of elders. Kenyans watched as schools closed and children went to work. China used its authoritarian power to stamp out the virus. Each country has its own story of how it coped in the face of a pandemic. #PandemicAtlashttp://apne.ws/kv7Ha31

Yet, Spain, as of this writing, has not banned U.K. flights arriving (but is considering it. Architecture and people ignoring and not understanding rules is killing them here)

COVID just defeated stupid. This is natural selection at work in real time. The infection simply needs a host, and there are willing providers wanting to be infected.

This is fake "China used its authoritarian power to stamp out the virus." China never had the virus, they only created and exported it. They knew how to deal with it as they created it.

So they hurt their own economy with lockdowns and rushed to build multiple new hospitals at great expense just to fake us all out? I really don't think so. It's more likely that a country that has recent experience with pandemics (and minimal personal freedoms), dealt with it.
