Maybe they dont want to come out, funny enough it isn't a requirement to announce it to the world its a private matter & there choice if they make it public or not.

The why is the issue. If for fear about it hurting their careers or causing problems with teammates, that's a big problem. It's that it might be a problem still is what they're talking about, it shouldn't be.

As a gay athlete I never came out because I was afraid of being hurt physically by other athletes who were a homophobe, I didn’t want my career to end that way, not being able to trust my own fellow athletes.Then you have to deal with the money aspect (sponsorships) it’s not easy
