Don’t blame him that much. The Tigray region was given all the necessary time for dialogue even when they threatened the entirety of Ethiopia by bragging to have missiles capable of hitting the heart of Addis Ababa. He gave them all options for peace, and they refused!

TPLF is killing civilians to take the country in to ethnic violence Prime Minister didn’t want to go to war, yes he is Nobel winner for his efforts in bringing peace between Ethiopia and Eritrea but he still have to defend the country, war is never good but he has no option.

Why couldn't he just include the TPLF in the government coalition? That seems to be the root of the conflict.
