Survival and recovery are different of course. Some live but there's long lasting damage done to major organs, mobility etc and high incidence of long haulers with post viral syndrome similar to those living with M.E.

Many people will not agree, but we need a world wide short strict lockdown, or we will see case counts and deaths spiralling out of control. Hospitals have no more beds and doctors, nurses are exhausted.

What “progress” was made in the U.S.? This surge was expected, just as it was expected to recede slightly during the summer months. The U.S. has done very little, if anything, to stem its growing number of cases. Anti-intellectualism is a real slap in the face in pandemics, eh?

How about we talk about deaths and overwhelmed hospitals again. The entire COVID response was based on hospitals running out of room and death counts near or over 5%. None of this came to pass, so the goalpost was moved to the number of cases. That is not a valid concern.

Did you read the article? It is talking about that. You understand there is a correlation between increased cases, deaths and hospitalisations right?
