What looks like an asteroid that is expected to be pulled into Earth's orbit next month in fact may be an old rocket from a failed 1966 moon-landing mission, NASA’s leading asteroid expert says. The object is not expected to hit Earth. http://apne.ws/kHz0bFg

Are there any conceptual or planned projects to clean up the #space around #Earth? It’s been a while since WALL-E

It's going to get far worse with Amazons 3236 satellites going up soon, and Space-x planning on putting up 40,000 satellites. Like the pacific garbage patch, there is little monetary incentive to clean up orbit so I doubt we will see it in my lifetime.

Stop lying!! That was a space station the government secretly put into orbit and no, people they do not know where it will fall on earth! The last time it happened “engineers” were off on landing of said station by 100 miles and a whole continent away!!

“‘What caught Chodas’ attention is that its near-circular orbit around the sun is quite similar to Earth’s — unusual for an asteroid.”’ — @AP
