If there population gets too high yes because there aren’t enough predators left to keep there population in check so we have to fill that role. Also the article says that a study hasn’t been done to determine what the desired population should be yet.

Well, see here’s the thing, yes you can have a reservation for these animals. However, you still need to regulate the population yourself if there aren’t enough direct or indirect predators to said species in the area. That is the sad part of the circle.
