Analysis: Twice in the 20th century, Japan challenged the West, first in a military-led attempt to become an imperial power and then as an industrial powerhouse. Now it is China’s turn to take the global stage.http://apne.ws/wWa5g0l

Funny, how you can "challenge the West" from thousands of kilometers away, while the West surrounding you with military bases and parading its navy in front of your nose is considered a peacekeeping mission.

We are past mutually assured destruction with many world powers. It’s mostly economic imperialism nowadays. The US does the most direct military imperialism but it’s with weak countries comparatively.

If all Western countries took back their manufacturing from China, the Chinese economy would collapse, making them no threat at all.
