How are you gonna train better if you take money away that will be needed for training? Any type of training costs money. You can’t “defund” the police while trying to increase training.

Two points: People who think cops entering the field have been "well trained" watch too much TV. And if you think Federal standards, incentivized through grants and funding, will help local police perform better, I suggest you review Education and "No Child Left Behind."

Every single one of these guys is waiting for an excuse to use force. You shouldn’t need training to not violate the law. And ignorance of the law is never an excuse.
