Everyone should know that the USPS is the primary way to send mail & care packages to troops overseas & is the ONLY way to send to some deployed troops.

If only they were not required to prefund retirement 75 years in advance. Congress works for corporations and not people. The USPS is not a for-profit organization, so they were far cheaper than UPS/FedEx. Oligarchy didn't like that so they made Congress hamstring the USPS. Sad.

It doesn't help that service is awful in some locations and complaints to the Inspector General just sit without a response.

If the USPS went under, is there any other delivery entity ready or willing to step in, especially to remote, rural areas? If there were, how much do you suppose they’d charge?
