I truly feel for them. My grandpa worked very hard his whole life and then he retired and then he got Parkinson’s. So many dreams were left unrealized. It’s heartbreaking.

Did you read the article? They're not sad because America is closed. They're sad because they don't want to die from the Coronavirus and miss out on their golden year plans.

The whole of the planets' population plans were put on hold and postponed. And the consequences are a lot more serious than a few missed trips. If this is not over soon, you'll have a lot more to worry about.

It’s a sad unexpected event. Lesson is to live everyday as if it’s your last one. Travel in your 20’s, 30’s, etc. Don’t base your entire life enjoyment as starting at retirement.

My husband always said he wasn't going to wait for retirement to do things, and he didn't! He was diagnosed w/ cancer 6 months into retirement, died 5 months later.

old myself, but feel real bad for the 80+ that are still healthy in lock down, scared and knowing they may have seen family and friends for the last time. no one can visit them for fear of infecting them.
