Because parents have become genetically different in two generations, and are incapable of providing anything for their kids other than screens??

Some of it is that the parents are working full time. Makes childcare very difficult in the summers. I used a series of camps as childcare when mine were younger because I could not take the summer off of work.

Or..... parents create their own private camps for their kids. Camp Counselors are great (my Dtr is one) but parents can rock the summer!

What percentage of parents could afford to send their kids to summer camp to begin with? I think you might be surprised by how many kids’ summers won’t look all that different than usual.
