Have any states stockpiled more than a negligible amount of money to pay idled workers? If any? Doesn't sound like something we do. It's important short-term, but I hope there's long-term approaches being considered also.

Payroll tax cut as a stimulus - bad idea. Just another Repub scam to defund and takedown SS and Medicare. Not a payroll cut, but a ceiling (upper-income limit) increase is needed to strengthen SS and Medicare for current recipients and future generations.
