Even there is
#CoronavirusOutbreak in China.#CCP still continues to silence the dissidents. What are#CCP afraid of? Will Jimmy Lai be the next#GuiMinhai ? Do#CCP really understand what#FreedomOfSpeech and human rights are? Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

It’s crystal clear that the HKSAR gov’t and
#CCPChina are silencing pro-democracy voices in#HongKong to make us be afraid of speaking up! Gosh political repression is still their priority amid the deadly#WuhanCoronavirus

See? HK is no longer a place with freedom and human rights! When people joining marches, the result is being arrest! When people joining labour strike, the result is being fired! When people wrote book to criticise, the result is ten years imprisonments! Please save HK! Thank you

The suppression from authorities never stops. From
#GuiMinhai case to white terror on teachers, now puppet HKGov't arrested pro-democracy press who criticize HKGov't. The freedom of speech is deteriorated in HK. But we won't stop fighting against the tyranny.#5DemandsNot1Lesspic.twitter.com/4iyfMqtdvl

Apple Daily is
's only mainstream print newspaper in Chinese (the first language for the vast majority of HKers) that supports the #HongKongProtests. The arrest was clearly a form of political persecution

And what can be done? I don't see the courts upholding his right to free speech. The hkpf has too much power and no repercussions. This is what ive observed from afar for the last 9 months.
