Pope Francis has declined to approve the ordination of married men to address the priest shortage in the Amazon, sidestepping a fraught issue that has dominated debate in the Catholic Church and even involved retired Pope Benedict XVI.http://apne.ws/dPgG6NW

Pope Francis sidesteps anything that doesn’t conform to his radical agenda. He started out so well, then quickly became such a disappointment. Way to not lead.

(1/2)You need to learn the history about this. Priests were married men until the 12th Century. They are well aware there aren’t enough single men to carry out in the future. They know they have to act, but they also have old white men to contend with at the Vatican...

Because the married priests would leave their wealth to their wives instead of the church. That’s the reason why we are in this huge mess. The Catholic Church’s greed.

No because celibacy is one of the truest acts you can do while serving god and is part of the catholic religion. One of the reasons why you don’t see priests that are married who have a million dollar house and planes. They live there life on the bare minimum just to serve god.
