Tis something I believe should qualify as a legitimate expense. It should be allowed.

I don't agree. If the women don't have the support, I suggest they not run. It's more important for the child to have at least one parent that they can depend on. Just like the wife support the husband when he runs, the husband should support the wife.

Dads are parents too. If men don’t need to expense child care for elections, why would women? Parenting is a team sport, public office is a sacrifice requiring contributions from both parents. Child care is not a “mom” issue, it’s a “parenting” issue.
