Didn't California cap the rates that PG&E charge their clients and force them to invest in "green energy"? Sounds more like the state of California put PG&E in an impossible situation and it lead to the condition of the infrastructure to deteriorate.

I was surprised to learn in the PBS
@frontlinepbs documentary “Fire in Paradise” that burned up the whole town of Paradise, CA - that the fire was started by the power company’s old hardware. Their response? “Oh now we’ll just turn off the power.” WTF? https://www.pbs.org/wgbh/frontline/film/fire-in-paradise/ … -
You do realize that CA takes billions from these companies to subside the prices then when there is no money for maintenance they accuse the companies of not maintaining their equipment. The companies need to leave CA and leave you all in the dark age.
