I guess I’m a complete idiot because I take 10mg tabs for my hip. I don’t take it when I’m not in pain. The problem is with the pill pushing doctors. Thankfully I have one that knows I do not want anything stronger and it takes the edge off to keep me mobile.

Tramadol is NOT an opioid crisis. The dosages are very small and not addictive. When I don’t need it I don’t take it and I have a bad hip in need of being replaced. It’s painful. The problem is Norco! I had carpel tunnel surgery, one day of pain, surgeon did script for 20!

I used to take tramadol after cracking two bones on my spine. I never got a sense it was addicting. Just thought it was good for body aches

Tramadol is not addictive. I use it for my migraines and it does an excellent job. I can't take those other opioids like codeine because they'd make the migraine worse. You don't get "high" from tramadol.

I saw abuse first hand as a pharmacy technician. It warrants increasing doses after long time use. One patient was taking 12 a day and would get very upset trying to fill it early. He sure depicted signs similar to those that had opiod problems.
